All about the Wailua Bay Creator's Fair
Why was the fair created?
Seeing so many small businesses close and suffer during the pandemic, the founders knew they needed to create a place for those hard-working creatives of this island. When Kauai started opening back up in winter of 2021/2022, it was important to find a location and make a fair for those businesses possible. Due to the limited number of fairs on the island at the time, there were fewer spots available for creators that have been dedicated to their craft for so many years. The founders had a vision to not only create a fair, but to create a fair only showcasing those individuals/families who create everything themselves here on the island of Kauai.
The importance of supporting Kauai Creators
When, we as a community, support local creators we keep the earnings from those creations here on Kauai, thus truly supporting our local economy. The creators that vend at the Wailua Bay Creators Fair are carefully selected to ensure they source items from Kauai as much as possible which in turn supports other Kauai businesses as well. For so many of these creators it is an extra source of income and they put their heart and soul into their craft after working so tirelessly to support their families. Their dedication to what they do each and every day, truly shines through in their work.
WBC Fair requires all of the attending vendors to have a Hawaii State GE License. The founders feel it is extremely important for the small businesses they support to keep all tax dollars in the Hawaiian Islands to further support our local economies.

Meet the founders
Attalia and Eric are the owners of Pineapple Expressions LLC and have been vending on Kauai since 2019. They were welcomed with such open arms by the craft fair community here on Kauai prior to the pandemic that it brings their hearts so much joy to be able to give back to that community now, in the way of this fair.
You can catch them and their children in and around their tent or helping other vendors throughout the fair.
